The City of Williamsport Recreation Department is accepting applications for the following positions, Camp Counselor, Desk Attendant, Lifeguard, Pool Manager and Summer Camp Manager. Job descriptions for each position are posted below. To apply please fill out a City Application for employment and have all required documentation submitted to the Recreation Department no later than 4 P.M on March 1st, 2017 .
The Williamsport Bureau of Police invites you to join a highly respected Police Department and serve the citizens of Williamsport. As a Police Officer, you would perform a wide variety of duties to promote public safety and security, prevent crime and enforce the law. The department contributes to the safety and security of the community by apprehending those who commit criminal acts, developing partnerships to prevent, reduce, or eliminate neighborhood problems, and providing police services that are fair, unbiased, and respectful of the dignity of all individuals. A Police Officer works 40 hours per week on different shifts and overtime may be required. Requirements: 1. Must be a citizen of the United States of America 2. Must possess at the minimum, a school diploma or a G.E.D. certificate 3. Must possess ACT 120 certification or be enrolled in an ACT-120 training program 4. Must be 21 years of age, but not be older than 37 years of age, having not reached your 38th birthday, before the date of certification of the civil service list. 5. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. The Williamsport Bureau of Fire is looking for men and women to apply to become a career Firefighter with the City of Williamsport. If you are interested in becoming a part of our team then join us in taking the 2017 Entrance Exam on July 8, 2017. Applications can be obtained at the Williamsport Bureau of Fire Office at 440 Walnut Street, Williamsport PA, from 9am to 3pm or online at http://cityofwilliamsport.org/City_Careers.php. There is a $50.00 application fee, $55.00 to have study materials mailed (check or money order only) that is due when applications are submitted. Deadline to submit an application is May 26th 2017 by 3 PM.
