A city-wide paving project will commence on Monday, October 6. The contractor, Glenn O. Hawbaker, will place notice signs 24 hours in advance on the following streets before milling and paving operations begin:
- W 3rd St from Rose St to the Lycoming Creek Bridge
- Sherman St from Tucker St to Sheridan St
- Blaine St (Memorial Ave to Hammond Pl)
- Hammond Pl (Blain St to Ames Pl)
- Newcomer Ave (Blain St to Memorial Ave)
- Memorial Ave (Old Lycoming Twp line to Dewey Ave)
- Lyons Ave (Franklin St to Penn St)
- Williams St (5th St to 4th St)
- Selkirk Rd-isolated locations above Upland Rd
- Packer St-the portion to the east of the Grampian Hills monument
- Dove St-Foresman St thru Mahaffey St to Oliver Ave and then Prospect Ave thru Clark St alley to McMinn Ave
- Upland Rd-Cliffside Dr to Roderick Rd to Fairview Ave
- Almond St-Ellinger St to Logue St then Logue St to Grampian St
- Logue St-Almond St to Grove St
- Maxwell Place- Almond St to Chestnut St
- Chestnut St-Maxwell Pl to Tucker St
- Fifth St-Hepburn St to Laurel St
- Laurel St-5th St to 4th St
- Maynard St (under the SR 220 by-pass bridges to RR Xing)
