Brandon Park Tennis CourtsThe Brandon Park Rehabilitation Project is underway with the completion of the resurfacing of the tennis courts.  The courts look great and they are ready just in time to enjoy some fun fall play!  The lighting system for the tennis courts will soon be renovated to include new controls, LED luminaires and reconstruction of the deteriorated concrete bases.

The remaining scope of work for the project includes the resurfacing of the parking lot next to the Bandshell and the installation of a Nature Play play area.  The Nature Play portion of the project will improve the natural habitat of the park with the use of native trees, shrubs, grasses and wildflowers.  Additional landscaping and tree planting will also take place.

Nature PlayThis project has been made possible with funding from the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and HUD Community Development Block Grant funds.

In the future, the City will be doing renovations to the Brandon Park Bandshell that includes brickwork, structural repairs, and handicapped accessibility improvements.  The City was fortunate to receive a grant for these improvements from the Williamsport Lycoming Community Fund and the Dr. Randall F. Hipple Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania.

Brandon Park is a unique treasure in the City of Williamsport that offers natural beauty and recreational options for all to enjoy.  The City is excited to have these opportunities to make Brandon Park even better!
